The Hampton Designer Showhouse

In August Traditional Home presented the 2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse to showcase the work of talented designers and to benefit the Southampton Hospital. For the past 10 years The Hampton Designer Showhouse Foundation, Inc. has supported the Southampton Hospital in its mission to provide accessible, quality healthcare to Long Island’s South Fork.

This year, New York based designer Libby Langdon incorporated items from several sources in her design for the Hampton Designer Showhouse’s Fun Room. One of Langdon’s design sources was  English Country Antiques, in The Hamptons, where she discovered Gabby’s Nathan Cabinet.

This photo of the Nathan Cabinets is from English Country Antique’s Hampton Designer Showhouse blog post.

Langdon’s design for the room was described as, “a relaxed retreat reminiscent of an English clubroom with a modern twist,” in the Showhouse’s Design Journal.

The designer’s sketch shows the diversity of the room. Another quote from the Showhouse website describes how the furnishings chosen flow together for a variety of living options.  “The inviting space is perfect for cocktails and billiards with friends or quiet moments reading a good book.”

Gabby’s Nathan Cabinets provided by English Country Antiques, offer the perfect backdrop for a cozy bar and seating area.

We’re thankful to English Country Antiques for providing Libby Langdon with our Nathan Cabinets to complete her fabulous space in the 2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse.

It’s always thrilling to share photos of our products in various homes and stores, and if you liked this post you should check out

That cabinet is gorgeous – and fits so well within that space. It’s a great marriage of class and comfort.
